Keep selling those tickets! All students who sell 10 tickets this week will earn a popsicle. Be sure to bring in your tickets and money by Friday to qualify!

Shadeville has collected a total of 148 books so far! Let's keep the momentum going! Shadeville's book drive will continue through October 3rd. Please bring in any new or gently used books to be donated to Family Promise of the Big Bend (formerly Big Bend Homeless Coalition).

Last week, students in Mrs. Maldonado’s classes turned into lawyers as they held “court”! Throughout the week, they read three different articles related to the prompt: “Which kind of pet is best, a cat or dog?” Students worked as groups to elaborate on evidence from all three texts to defend their side. The honorable Judge Maldonado presided over the debate, and after hearing all arguments, the classes voted on the winning side based on the strongest text evidence. The verdict in both classes? 🐶 Dogs win!

After the court session, students wrote brief argumentative essays supporting the winning side. Great work, future attorneys!

On Friday, Miss Coleman & Mrs. Houston's class celebrated Johnny Appleseed day!

Day 1 of Rock Your School and our students have already brought in some impressive rocks! Keep bringing in decorated rocks for your chance to win a Shadeville Swag Basket!

To celebrate Freedom Week, Mrs. Morgan's 4th grade class hosted a special event called "We the People – Parent Day," inviting parents and guardians to join in a day of learning and fun. Families rotated through six engaging stations, each offering a unique challenge centered around the foundations of our nation's freedom. Together, students and their guests explored the U.S. Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the Amendments, deepening their understanding of American democracy. A highlight of the day was the “Human Preamble,” where participants proudly recited the Preamble using coordinated hand gestures to help commit the words to memory. It was a powerful reminder of the importance of civic education—and a wonderful way for our Shadeville family to come together and celebrate the freedoms we cherish.

Our 3rd Graders had an awesome time at Wakulla High School on their field trip today watching the play, Annie!

We are so excited to kick off Rock Your School 2025 on Monday! In addition to our book drive, we want to add joy to our rock garden at school and the community! The directions are simple: Decorate a rock, bring it to school and turn it in, and have your name entered for a chance to win a Shadeville swag basket! All rocks will be added to our rock garden at school or somewhere in the community! Go Warriors!!
